analogies so that i don’t choke small mammals

imagine this:

baking this entire batch of brownies for three hours. handing them out to your classmates. and then they don’t say anything and just eat it and move on.
doing a ten page homework assignment. handing it in. getting the grade. with no other commentary on the work. just the grade.
winning a race. getting handed the trophy. and then everyone just leaves.

how are those scenarios any different huh
